Mert is a UN youth representative in the field of Human Rights and Security. For him, Human Rights brings together many themes, including sustainability and the right to a liveable planet in the future. In his work, it becomes clear that the climate crisis has been going on for a long time and contributes to human rights violations all over the world. Mert is active in the Netherlands and at European and international levels and is currently advocating for a generation test for policies at these different levels. In addition, he studies law at the University of Leiden.
