Nina loves agriculture that works for people, nature and animals. According to her, healthy soils are sacred. In her current job as a Carbon Lead at Rabobank she the Rabo Carbon Bank she works to develop carbon farming and carbon credits pilots for the Dutch agricultural and construction sector. The goal is to pay farmers appropriately and incentify builders to use biobased materials from Dutch fibres. From 2020-2022 Nina worked for initiative ‘Aardpeer, Samen voor Grond’ (2020-2022). In collaboration with Stichting Wij.land, Herenboeren NL, Stichting Grondbeheer and Triodos Regenerative Money Centre, Aardpeer issued bonds to acquire land for regenerative farmers. Partly thanks to Nina’s efforts, €10 million was raised from 900 investors. In 2021 Nina was selected as one of the Dutch ‘Sustainable Young 100′. In 2022 she was nominated for the Dutch list of ’50 Women in Sustainable Finance’.
